Ang Greenpeace ay isa sa pinaka active na environmental groups sa buong mundo. Layunin nito na baguhin ang attitude at behavior ng mga tao upang i-conserve at maprotektahan ang ating environment.

Naging miyembro nito si Richard Gutierrez last year at simula noon, naging active na si Richard sa mga environmental campaigns ng grupo. He even asked the help of GMA Network para matulungan siya sa kanyang adhikain.

"Right now, I'm still talking with Greenpeace kung anong mga puwede naming gawin. Pero I'm very committed. I've approached GMA-7 and Bench to help me out and they're all willing to help out naman. So, it's gonna be a big movement,” ang pahayag ni Richard noong nagsisimula pa lang siya sa movement na ito last year.

So far, bukod sa Full Force Nature, nag-host na rin siya ng isang GMA News and Public Affairs documentary, ang Signos: Banta ng Nagbabagong Klima, kung saan hina-highlight ang climate change sa mundo. Tulad ng Full Force Nature layunin nito na magbigay ng information about global warming at isulong ang movement para ma-save ang environment.



Dinagdag pa niya na masayang masaya siya sa bago niyang show dahil matagal na niyang gustong magkaron ng infotainment show which will highlight his environmental advocacy.

"Very important show sa akin itong Full Force Nature. Matagal kong pinangarap magkaroon ng show na ganito dahil ito talaga ang advocacy ko, tungkol sa nature, and I'm very happy and thankful na binigyan ako ng pagkakataon ng GMA-7 na mai-share din yung mga nalalaman ko tungkol sa nature. And of course, itong show will showcase different natural disasters na nangyayari globally and 'yun 'yung target talaga namin, not only to entertain the viewers but also to give them awareness and also to give them information kung anong pwede nating gawin as Filipinos para maiwasan ang paglaganap ng global warming," ang paliwanag ni Richard sa amin.

Suportahan si Richard at ang kanyang layunin to help save the environment, manood ng Full Force Nature, Tuesday nights, right after the Primetime Telebabad block.

MUKHANG tama ang comment na aming nari-nig mula sa isang movie observer.

Sa ngayon daw, kaya matamlay rin ang industriya ng pelikula at tele-bisyon, dahil wala ngang ibang matinee idols na pinaglalaban-laban kagaya noong araw.

Kung natatandaan ninyo, noon, basta may matinee idols na nagpapasikatan ng kani-kani-lang pelikula o TV show, talagang masigla ang mga fans. Ngayon, maliban kay Richard Gutierrez, si-no pa ang masasabing makinang na matinee idol na talagang malakas ang following at magpapa-excite nang husto sa fans?

Maski nga ang ABS-CBN, aminado na wala si-lang malaking matinee idol. Kaya nga hiniram pa ng Star Cinema, sister company ng Dos, si Richard para maging leading man sa pelikula ng gusto nilang pasikatin nang hustong si KC Concepcion. Kung may mai-lalaban ang Star Cinema kay Richard, hihiramin pa nila ito para may maitambal lang kay KC? Natural mas papaboran nila ang artista nila.

Sa GMA-7 naman, si-no ba ang matinee idol ni-la na mailalaban pa kay Richard?

Ang akala namin no-ong una ay magtutuluy-tuloy na ang pagiging number one ng Gagam-bino ni Dennis Trillo. Hindi pala. Bumaba rin agad ang ratings nito. Hindi kagaya ng shows ni Ri-chard na consistent top-rater at masasabing walang katapat talaga.

Sobra nga ang hatak ni Richard. Na hindi maganda para sa industriya. Ka-si, basta nagkaroon na ng isang top matinee idol at walang ibang puwedeng ipantay sa kanyang puwesto, siya at siya na lang ang binibigyan ng proyekto ng TV or movie producers.

Ang nangyayari, dumarating ang puntong, although siya pa rin ang top matinee idol, kinasa-sawaan nang panoorin ng fans ang kanyang pelikula o TV soap.

Isang halimbawa rito ay ang Superstar syndrome ni Nora Aunor. ‘Di ba super-dami ang kanyang fans, pero hindi naman nila lahat pinapanood ang mga pelikula ni Ate Guy.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA ­--- Sabado na nang magkita kami ni Annabelle Rama sa Palazzo Resort, Hotel and Casino.

Niyaya akong mag-lunch ni Bisaya sa Zine at kasama niya roon sina Tito Eddie, Mary Ann Opeña (kasama ang anak nitong si Jemel), Rachel Cruz (ground staff ng Philippine Airlines sa Los Angeles) at iba pa.

Pagkatapos kumain ay nagulat ako nang kunin ni Tito Eddie ang wheelchair sa isang tabi at doon suma­kay si Bisaya. Ang veteran actor ang nagtulak ng wheelchair ni Bisaya.

“Hindi ko kasi kayang lumakad nang lumakad. Buti na lang at mahal ako ng asawa ko at siya ang nagtutulak ng wheelchair,” sey ni Bisaya.
“Naku, kahapon si Richard ang nagtutulak ng wheelchair,” sey naman ni Tita Mary Ann.

Bago ako umalis ng L.A. noong Biyernes ay tinawagan na ako ni Bisaya kaugnay ng mga pahayag ni Dr. Manny Calayan against her.

Pina-text sa akin ni Bisaya si Dr. Calayan ng, “Sinimulan mo ‘to, tatapusin ko!”
Nananahimik si Bisaya at sinimulan siya ni Dr. Calayan, kaya sasagutin niya ang mga pahayag nito laban sa kanya.

Nakausap ko si Dr. Calayan at naloka ako nang nag-deny siya samantalang maraming nakarinig sa mga pahayag niya laban kay Bisaya.

May dialogue pa si Dr. Calayan na sinabi raw niya na “Ok naman kami ni Tita” sa mga reporter na kausap niya sa L.A.

Dahil sa pinagsasasabi ni Dr. Calayan against Bisaya ay asahang magsasalita na siya kung ano talaga ang dahilan kaya umalis ang anak niyang si Ruffa Gutierrez bilang image model ng beauty clinic ng nasabing cosmetic surgeon.

Masaya si Raymond Gutierrez at ang mga kapatid niyang sina Richard, Rocky, Elvis at Ritchie Paul sa pagkakapanalo ni Manny Pacquiao sa boxing fight nila ni Oscar De La Hoya.

Pero ‘yung kasiyahan nila ay nahaluan ng lungkot nang makarating sa kanila ang balitang patay na si Marky Cielo.

Nakasama nina Richard, Rocky at Elvis si Marky sa Codename: Asero. Mabait daw talaga ang namayapang young actor.

Si Raymond ang host ng StarStruck 3 kung saan si Marky ang grand winner.

Ako man ay nalungkot din nang ibalita ni Jhops Cruz ng GMA 7 ang pagkamatay ni Marky.

Pagkatapos ng bo­xing fight nina Manny Pacquiao at Oscar De La Hoya ay bumalik sa Pa­lazzo Hotel ang pamilya Gu­tierrez at doon sila nag-family dinner.
Kapagkuwan ay pumunta sila sa Mandalay Bay Hotel kung saan ay may after party para kay Pacquiao.

Wala sa after party ang Pambansang Kamao, kaya umakyat na lang si Annabelle Rama kasama ang mister na si Eddie Gutierrez at anak na si Raymond Gutierrez sa suite room ni Manny.

Kasama sina Manny at Jinkee at iba pang mga tao sa loob ng suite room ay pinanood nila ang replay ng boxing fight.

Maingay sa loob ng kuwarto kaya hindi kami gaanong magkarinigan ni Bisaya.
Hindi na raw sumama sa kanila sa suite room ni Manny si Richard dahil pagod na ang binata.

LOS ANGELES, CA. Pagkatapos ng ilang buwang hindi pagkakasundo nina Annabelle Rama at Wilma Galvante (executive vice-president for entertainment ng GMA 7), nagkabati na sila sa LAX (Los Angeles airport) noong Miyerkules nang gabi.
Magkasabay sa Philippine Airlines PR102 flight that day sina Ma’am Wilma at Richard Gutierrez (kasama ang kuyang si Rocky).
After almost an hour na paghihintay sa arrival area, nakita ko kaagad si Ma’am Wilma na nakalabas na. Kasama niya ang anak na si Clara (na production assistant dati sa Codename: Asero).
Nakita rin ni Eddie Gutierrez ang GMA 7-executive at lumapit kaagad dito ang mister ni Bisaya.
Konting kumustahan. Nabanggit ni Tita Wilma kay Tito Eddie na sayang at kinailangang i-give-up ng beteranong aktor ang role sana nito sa Luna Mystica.
“Hindi bale, bibigyan kita ng bago, action naman,” sey raw ni Ma’am Wilma kay Tito Eddie sabay hanap kay Bisaya.
“Nasaan si Annabelle, babatiin ko siya,” sabi raw ni Ma’am Wilma kay Tito Eddie at kaagad inituro ng beteranong aktor ang kanyang misis na nakaupo sa may waiting lounge dahil hindi pa kaya ni Bisaya ang nakatayo nang matagal.
Paglapit ni Ma’am Wilma kay Bisaya ay nag-kiss sila sa isa’t isa. Kinumusta ng GMA 7-executive ang kalagayan ng dating nakatampuhan.
Parang walang nangyaring problema sa kanila sa eksenang nakita ko.
Nag-dialogue pa si Bisaya na medyo hirap pa siya dahil sa kanyang operasyon. Si Ma’am Wilma naman ay nagsabing dapat kasi ay 45 days munang magpahinga ang Gutierrez matriach.
Sey ko sa dalawa, kailangang kunan ko sila ng picture.
“Kailangan may scoop photo ako ng pagbabati n’yo!” sey ko at parehong natawa sina Bisaya at Ma’am Wilma at saka nag-pose para sa aking camera.
Maya-maya ay lumapit si Mother Lily Monteverde sa dalawa at pinag-pose ko silang tatlo.

“Ang saya-saya nilang tingnan. Ang ganda na bati-bati lahat. I’m so happy for them,” sey ni Mother Lily, na kasabay rin pala nina Tita Wilma at Richard sa nabanggit na PAL flight.
Si Tito Eddie ay nakatingin lang isang tabi kina Bisaya at Ma’am Wilma. Obvious na masaya rin ang mister ni Bisaya sa pagkakabati ng misis at ng isa sa big bosses ng Siyete.

Maya-maya ay nagpaalam na si Ma’am Wilma at ihahatid na raw sila ng sundo nilang si Josh Andowitt (PR ng GMA Pinoy TV).
Pagdating sa arrival area nina Richard at Rocky Gutierrez ay natuwa sila nang malamang bati na ang kanilang mommy at si Ma’am Wilma.
Ang maganda kina Tito Eddie at sa ibang mga anak ni Bisaya (including Ruffa na taga-ABS-CBN), never silang nag-comment sa naging gap ng kanilang ina at ni Tita Wilma.
Gusto rin nila na maayos na ang gap sa pagitan ng dalawa, kaya nang ibalita ko ‘yon kay Ruffa ay nag-dialogue kaagad ang TV host/actress ng, “Salamat naman. That’s good news!”
Nang papunta na kami ni Bisaya sa terminal ng United Airlines para sa kanilang flight papuntang Las Vegas, Nevada ay ramdam ko sa boses ni Bisaya ang kasiyahan na nagkaayos sila ni Ma’am Wilma.

Para sa KChardees fans na naghihintay ng update sa second movie nina Richard Gutierrez at KC Concepcion, this time under GMA Films and Regal Entertainment, ang kuwento sa akin ni Bisaya, sa December 17 na sila magsisimulang mag-shooting.
Hanggang December 23 daw ang shooting nina Richard at KC at magpapahinga lang sila para sa Christmas.
Kukunan sa December 17 ang ilang eksena na gagamiting teaser ng pelikula na malamang na ikarga sa mga pelikula ng Regal Films na ipalalabas sa MMFF.
Sabi ng KChardees, nakahanda silang suportahan nang todo-todo ang second movie nina Richard at KC.
Willing ang KChardees na mag-set-up ng funds na gagamitin para magkaroon ng matinding awareness sa nabanggit na pelikula.

MASUSUBUKAN ang galing ni Richard Gutierrez sa pagho-host at pagiging isang environmentalist sa bago niyang infotainment show na Full Force Nature na palabas tuwing Martes bilang kapalit ng World Records sa Bilib Ka Ba Nights after GMA Telebabad.

Pupunta si Richard sa iba’t ibang sulok ng Pili-pinas para bigyan tayo ng first-hand view ng hagupit ng kalikasan maging bagyo man, lindol, pagsabog ng bulkan o kung anumang ti-yak na ikagugulat at ikamamangha natin.

“Lubos akong nagpapasalamat sa GMA-7 sa pagbibigay sa akin ng ga-nitong show. Kasi, may magandang pagkakataon akong i-share ang kaalaman ko sa environment para maiwasan ang global warming. Isa kasi ‘yan sa pinakamabigat na problema ngayon ng mundo kasama na ang overpopulation, hunger at global warming. Magbibigay ako sa show ng tips at pointers para makatulong sa pagpapabuti ng ating klima,” ani Richard na member ng Greenpeace-Asia.

Naikabit ang pangalan ni KC Concepcion lately sa hiwalayang Sam Milby at Anne Curtis dahil sa lumabas na item na balak daw ligawan ni Sam si KC, na mariin namang itinanggi ni Sam.

Ano ang masasabi rito ni Richard?

“No comment! Basta good luck na lang sa lahat ng gustong manligaw kay KC,”matipid pero malaman na sagot ng aktor.

Mukhang hindi man lang nakikitaan si Richard ni katiting na pagkabahala o insecurity kung may ibang magmanligaw kay KC.

Aminado si Chard na ganoon siya ka-secure sa ‘relasyon’ at pagtitinginan nila ng dalaga ni Mega.

Sisimulan na nina Chard at KC ang shooting ng Valentine’s movie nila under GMA Films ngayong December.

Napagdesisyunan ng GMA Films na huwag nang mag-shoot abroad.

Instead, dito na lang ga-win ang movie at ipakita ang kagandahan ng Pilipinas sa buong mundo.

Ang pinakamalaking location nila ay sa Coron, Palawan.

Sa late January pa lang sisimulang gawin na Ri-chard ang bago niyang teleserye na Mask Of Zorro. Kasi, concentrated muna siya sa Full Force Nature for one season. Isa pa, nag-hahanap ang GMA-7 ng bago niyang leading lady for Zorro.

After playing a cyborg in the recently-concluded action-packed TV series Codename: Asero on GMA 7, Richard Gutierrez gets in the midst of real action and breathtaking adventure as host of Kapuso network’s latest show on Bilib Ka Ba Nights block titled Full Force Nature, to air Tuesdays starting tomorrow night.

The show needs no fully-choreographed stunts, heartbreaking dialogues and acting skills but a concern for the environment which the 24-year-old actor possesses as one of Greenpeace advocates since two years ago.

“I really got excited when this was offered to me because it will serve as an avenue to create awareness to the people about the problems or issues concerning the environment,” Richard says.

As Greenpeace advocate, what’s number one on his to-do list to help restore nature’s beauty?

“First is to inspire other people to be an advocate, too. I also plan to hold a celebrity tree planting soon in connection with Bench’s green campaign which I spearhead for the apparel brand. I am also proud to say that Bench donated trees for La Mesa dam,” he answers.

”I’d also like to create awareness among the youth so we will go to different schools, as one of my projects next year. Signos, by the way, is now out on DVD. Hopefully, it can be shown to schools because it is very informative,” Richard relates.

After Codename: Asero, Richard Gutierrez is taking a very short break from making television serials. However, while on vacation from acting, the young actor will be busy hosting GMA-7's newest program on "Bilib Ka Ba Nights" block, Full Force Nature, which will premiere on December 2 after GMA Telebabad.

The program immediately appealed to the young actor when the network presented to him the idea of the show. Although its original version in the United States shows original video clips of unbelievable weather moments, the Philippine version changes it a bit by choosing Richard, an advocate of environment, as the host.

As a Greenpeace celebrity spokeperson, the 24-year-old actor will now have a wider venue to fulfill his role of spreading awareness about problems and issues concerning the environment. In between the video clips that will be shown, Richard will give simple but very helpful tips in saving mother earth.

The young actor said that Full Force Nature will definitely show the other side of Richard Gutierrez.

"I'm an active environmentalist and I wanna help also the group of Greenpeace and the other environmental groups. I think this is my calling, to create awareness for the people regarding global warming and other environmental problem," said Richard during the presscon of Full Force Nature last night, November 25.

He added, "Full Force Nature, ang kaibahan nito is you really feel the wrath of nature and mga hindi natin nae-experience dito, mga puwede ring mangyari sa atin dito, makikita mo sa TV kung ano talaga ang nararamdaman ng mga taon nakaka-experience no'n. So, 'yon pa lang, entertaining and exciting na for the audience. At the same time, it cuts to me giving ideas and pointers on how we can avoid these matters."

GREENPEACE ADVOCATE. The young Gutierrez said that it was really his idea to help groups that supports environmental causes such as GreenPeace.

"'Yon ang naging calling ko, e," he said. "I mean, for me, maraming different problems na nangyayari sa mundo—number one is hunger, number two is overpopulation, number three is global warming. For me, global warming ang napili ko dahil talagang ever since I was a kid I love nature. Siguro, I just had a calling for it. Siguro kanya-kanya tayong purpose dito sa mundo and siguro 'yon ang purpose ko."

As a celebrity spokesperson, Richard said that he helps the group with its non-violent moves in saving the environment. One example of this is creating informative videos that will reach a lot of people around the country, like his past documentary Signos.

Within the next few weeks, Richard will go to Boracay to shoot a video for the tourists who visit the place. Then, by next year, GMA-7 will be doing another documentary similar to Signos.

He reiterated, "Ang goal ko talaga is to create awareness sa youth, sa kabataan. So we're gonna go to different schools, that's one of my projects next year. Signos was something informative. Signos, by the way, is now out on DVD. Hopefully, schools can watch that."

Eddie pa-Amerika para manood ng laban ni Pacquiao.

Pero bago ’yon, nag-tape muna siya ng ilang episodes para sa Full
Force Nature, na magpapakita ng maiikling kuwento tungkol sa actual na
natural disasters.

“Sa family kasi, buong taon naman kaming nagbibigayan, kaya tuwing Pasko, we try to give back to our helpers, at may party kami sa kanila,” sabi ni Richard.

Anyway, natawa lang si Richard sa pangyayari, na habang nasa ospital ang mommy niya at inooperahan, napanaginipan nito na ikinasal siya kay KC Concepcion.

Inabangan nating lahat ang mga eksena ng cast sa Dubai, at ang first time team up ni Richard Gutierrez at Heart Evangelista . Nadala tayo sa mga special effects ng big-budget series na ito, at ang mga kakilig-kilig na mga eksena ng ating mga bida. The show started its pilot week in Dubai, a move that caused quite a stir in the entertainment industry.

"[In Dubai] naging good friends kami ni Richard, tapos madami siyang mga advice na binigay sa akin," ayon kay Heart. This helped make the portrayal of their character to be more effective since they had to work with each other on several scenes.

"Yung love story nila, pang-forever. Into the future, parang ganoon," teases Richard. Pero ibig sabihin ba nito ay makaliligtas si Emily? We'll see!

Sabi nga ni Direk Mark Reyes, dgpi, "Richard keeps on saying that Heart is the 'heart' of the show. You know, the drama is with the story of Heart, the action-adventure is with the story of Richard."

Pero hindi lang sina Richard at Heart ang may resolution. Dagdag ng ating bida, "Bawat character may closure na mangyayari, kaya kailangan abangan yun, aside from all the action sequences that we did, [and] kung paano [mangyayari doon sa war] ng Advocate vs. Empire."

RICHARD Gutierrez’s hard hitting action series, “Codename: Asero” is ending this week and he says its last few nights are guaranteed to excite all viewers as each episode is jampacked with slambang stunts and fight scenes never before scene on local TV. “Asero” is a cyborg, half man-half machine, and this is the first time we had such a hero in Philippine television. His enemies are from the camp of the mysterious Zeus (Richard Gomez.)

“The action-filled finale took us two straight days to shoot,” says Richard. “Kahit pagod na kami, sige pa rin just to make sure it’s going to be worth it for the viewers. Its be very tiring and taxing, pero proud ako dahil hindi kami mapapahiya sa audience as we offer first rate entertainment. Asero is one of the best and most difficult roles I’ve played dahil dual roles ako bale rito as Asero and also as Grecko Abesamis.”

He wants to thank all his co-stars in the show: Heart Evangelista, Richard Gomez, Carmina Villaroel, Janno Gibbs, Michael V, Francine Prieto, Bubbles Paraiso, Paolo Contis, Ehra Madrigal, Rhian Ramos, Chynna Ortaleza, Joko Diaz, Joanne Quintas, Sheree, Jenny Miller, Caridad Sanchez, Rainier Castillo, Marky Cielo, Ysa Villar, Martin de los Santos, Bobby Andrews and his brothers Ramon Christopher, Rocky and Elvis Gutierrez. “Lahat sila, nakatulong para sa ikagaganda ng show na talaga namang naging maganda ang rating during its entire run,” adds Richard. “I also want to thank our directors, Mark Reyes and Mike Tuviera, for allowing me to share my ideas with them, especially in staging and choreographing our action scenes. In all fairness to Richard, he excels not only in the action scenes where he does his own stunts and gets to show his dexterity with guns and with the martial arts, but also in his dramatic scenes. After this, he’ll be playing the swashbuckling role of the legendary Zorro in his next series. He’s also starting the shooting of his new movie with KC Concepcion for GMA Films, titled “Save the Best for Last” written and directed by Joey Reyes, in which he’d be singing the theme song with KC. “But before anything else, sana huwag nilang kalimutan ang climactic conclusion ng ‘Asero’ this week and on its last day, November 14,” he adds. “I promise, hindi sila magsisisi.”

'Codename: Asero' ends on November 14th, to be replaced by 'Luna Mystika,' where Richard Gutierrez's 'Asero' leading lady Heart Evangelista plays the title role. Richard says people should watch out for the resolution of Asero's love story with Emily (Heart Evangelista). "Yung love story nila, pang-forever. Into the future, parang ganoon." Could this be related to the prosthetics we saw Heart wear during our last set visit? We'll see!

What can he say about his leading lady, especially since he was her first onscreen partner since she transferred to the Kapuso Network?

stars"She's unbelievably good and talented," Richard remarked with conviction. "Alam mo na talagang nag-mature siya, [also in] her craft."

He adds, "Wala na [rin] yung awkward stage namin. That was a good thing, that we got that out of the way and became good friends. And pag ka-eksena mo si Heart, talagang madadala ka sa kanya kasi magaling siya."

Richard admits that he had a difficult time portraying a robot. "It was actually hard for me, jumping from Asero [to the movie I was shooting]. Sa Asero, na-experience ko yung robot acting and siguro yung without emotions, which is also hard, kasi everyday, pag gising natin, may bago kang emotions—may bago kang nararamdaman, and once you come to the set, you're supposed to erase everything. You're supposed to not remember anything.

"And then I was doing that while I was [filming] a movie na sobra naman yung emotions, na kailangan, so it was tough for me to balance that." Richard is referring to first movie with KC Concepcion under Star Cinema, titled For the First Time.

Upcoming projects

"Well, right now, I'm preparing for something new again," Richard answered when asked about his upcoming projects.

He has a reality show based on an international franchise, which tackles various natural disasters across the world. "Mayroon din tips on what we can do as individuals to avoid these disasters and [how we can contribute] to nature."

As for his second movie with KC under GMA Films, Richard says he hasn't started filming yet. "We're still in the process of creating the storyline and discussing our characters." The movie is set to be released on Valentine's Day. It is also Richard's fifth V-day flick in a row!

From robotic to romantic

"Those two are my main projects which will be shown soon, but of course, for primetime, I'm preparing for something—I'm also training for another project," says Richard. This, of course, is Zorro, set to air in 2009.

stars"I started training for fencing, [and] I will start [horse back] riding soon. Fully booked lang yung riding school ngayon, kaya hindi pa ako nakakapag-start.

"Then I'll be doing an acting workshop with direk Peque Gallaga, because 1900s yung era na gagawin namin and we have to study how the Filipinos were back then, kung ano yung way of living natin, kung ano yung paniniwala [natin] noong 1900s [and] all of that."

Richard says that they're even going to invite a historian to brief the whole team on what actually happened at that point in Philippine history!

"It's gonna be something hardcore for all of us, and also very exciting, [because it'll be my] first time [to portray a] role in a period setting."

Has his leading lady been confirmed already?

"Wala pa."

Will it be a new face on primetime TV?

"Nandiyan na siya! Sa pali-paligid!" Richard answers with a laugh.

Richard, quite to walk out on GMA event!

President Gloria Arroyo spent two hours in the inauguration of GMA's new Annex Studios last Friday.

PGMA and GMA President Filipe Gozon and other executive and guest did the ribbon cutting during the event.

Senators Mar Roxas, Bong Revilla at Miriam Defensor Santiago, QC Ma­yor Sonny Belmonte and Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista were also present.

After dinner, they went directly to Studio 4 including PGMA and watch the Musical Special.

Richard Gutierrez was assigned to share his piece regarding the entire concept of the show that night. He has experienced fun, anger, fantasy, pain, laughter.

Romance, power and passion is the concept of each production number.

While delivering his piece that night, he was blocked by the cameraman unintentionally. But surprisingly, he shows no irrition bout what happened. Some speculate though that he walked out from that eventBut towards the end of the show, he returned together with Iza Calzado and ended the spiels.

There's only one word that he missed and when he take a look at the teleprompter, he was coincidentally blocked by his cameraman.

If any other artist had experienced it, they might have been already panic, but not Richard. He remained calm. He was just smiling while thinking what he'd say next. Visitors didn't even noticed what happened. Richard remained his composure.

If that upset Richard after his segment, there's nothing to feel sad because these normally occur on a live show.

His most current endorsement is the UNIQUE Toothpaste TVC,

was a launching last Tuesday night in Mandarin Suites at Gateway Mall.

TVC was shown to athe press to impress and show their concept and

structure, specially that Richard shovel and choreograph his

own stunts. Impressing isn't it.

During the said press conference, Richard express how proud he is

doing this TVC specially it is a Philippine made product.

This is the reason why he immediately accepted the offer and at the

same time as mentioned earlier that he was the one who made

the choreography of his stunts and he's being proud of all the efforts

The actor has been asked about the latest issues about

They've just been to Vienna Austria for the Premiere Night

They also included the twin of the young actor Raymond and

that they also went to Budapest, Hungary.

In Paris, they had a longer time with KC.

Paris, is said to be KC's second home, because it's where

she attended her College and stayed their for 4 years.

"KC knows how to speak french very well. She's very

to communicate so KC become our official translator"

RICHARD Gutierrez was supposed to be launched as endorser of Unique Toothpaste last Saturday but he extended his European trip with KC and got to return home only last Sunday so his launching was moved to Tuesday. His TV commercial for Unique is really impressive, giving importance to his being today’s most agile young action star as seen in his hit TV show, “Codename: Asero.” It shows him personifying Unique and fighting against several opponents who represent tooth decay. “I’m thankful to Unique for giving me the chance to showcase my capabilities as an action star in a commercial,” he says. “And for allowing me to do my own stunts and choreograph the action sequences.”

And why was Richard chosen as their first celeb endorser of Unique after such a long time? “Because he’s handsome, talented, hardworking, wholesome, has a good image and is a good role model to our youth,” says ACS Manufacturing president, Alonso Supetran. “Several actors were presented to us but Richard is our only choice. He’s perfect for the concept of the commercial as he reflects Unique’s values. Mahusay ang Unique at mahusay rin siya. Sa ngayon, we only get 3% of the toothpaste market. I now feel much energized. KC, my brother Raymond and I went to visit Budapest and Paris after the movie premiere in Vienna.”

He’s all set to start his new movie with KC for GMA Films to be released on Valentine’s Day. “It’ll be lighter this time, more of comedy than drama. And this time, our rapport will be even better as we’ve gotten to know each other even better while we were traveling together in various countries.”

Richard is also glad that “Asero” continues to rate very high. This week, Ibsen (Richard Gomez) tells Asero that he’d regret his decision to leave the Empire Agency. Asero has another encounter with the destroyer robot who wrecks his car. Emily (Heart Evangelista) and her Lola Bertita (Caridad Sanchez) witness how Asero fights against the enemy soldiers using an iron hand. Reporters, cops and kibitzers flock to the area where the fighting occurs and it’s also shown on TV so everyone now knows that Asero is a cyborg. Later, Mr. P helps Asero and reformats him to make him an event better agent of the Advocate Agency who’d use him for good and not for evil purposes like what Empire did to him. It will also be revealed that there are two Ibsens and one of them is so weak while tied on a wheelchair.

"Whenever I'm on vacation, I feel re-energized. I feel refreshed [and] it's always good to relax and unwind," said Richard when he was cornered by the entertainment Reporters after the press conference prepared by Unique toothpaste last night, October 7, and the Mandarin Oriental Suites, Gateway Mall in Cubao, Quezon City.



The event formally introduced as Richard Unique's celebrity endorser, which also witnessed the premiere of the young actor's television commercial for the brand mentioned.



It was not just an ordinary out-of-the-country trip for the young actor as he was accompanied by twin brother Raymond, and yes, KC Concepcion!

"We are excited and all of a sudden, they go [KC] in the airport and actually make him a way to join the trip," revealed Richard. "So, we're all surprised. All of us were surprised but that only mean one thing, that he won't fail his fans, our fans in Austria."

Although the trip was part of Star Cinema's effort to promote For the First Time overseas, a string of problems turned out to be a good thing for the entire party.



As it turned out, Richard, Raymond, KC and made the most of the rare opportunity by deciding to embark on a quick vacation just to unwind.


"Well, it was all our decision to extend. But prior to that decision, there were some complications with the flights, so that was really the main reason why we need to extend our trip. We have to cancel some schedules' then there was the schedule complications. "Richard related.

Lovers IN PARIS? Aside from Austria, the Trio included Hungary and France in their ITINERARY. Understandably, France stood out as the most notable among the places they had visited.



"Paris is beautiful. The city of Romance!" gushed Richard. "There were friends I meet you by KC in Paris and since it's fashion week, there also other designers that also shown Pinoy' elegance in Paris. So we were able to meet up with some Filipino designers who were there and it was a good trip for us. "

The break allowed Richard and KC to spend quality time together, raising the public's curiosity even more about their real status.



Confessed Richard: "Of course, actually we're bonding with KC in Europe. Not sure, once you travel with a person, actually more likely you'd be able to know them well. And it was really fun, really who we enjoy, it was an adventure. I and KC, we always go for the adventure and I say that Euro trip was really a good adventure for us. "

Richard refused to state directly the real score between him and the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and former matinee idol Gabby Concepcion.



"It does not matter 'yong title, e. Important' yong organization," he smiled sheepishly.



But he is presently in love?

Lead stars KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez of Star Cinema’s "For the First Time" arrived in the country early Sunday from Europe after the successful screenings of their film in Vienna, Austria.

Along with Gutierrez’s twin brother, Raymond, KC and Richard arrived at 4:50 a.m. in Manila from Paris, France. They stayed in Paris after the film’s screenings at Cineplexx Donauplex in Vienna.

They said their stay in Paris and Vienna was very enjoyable and memorable for them, especially after a big number of Filipinos in Vienna supported their film. The two stars thanked their fans for watching the movie, which is one of Star Cinema's offerings for its 15th anniversary.

They also invited their fans to buy the DVD of "For the First Time."

Directed by well-acclaimed director Ms. Joyce Bernal, the premiere of "For the First Time" was said to be the biggest for any Filipino movie shown in Austria.

Reports said fans were impressed by KC’s acting prowess given that it’s her first full-length movie and that most of the scenes were shot outside of the country.

"For the First Time" is KC's very first take on the movie industry while it is Richard’s first project with ABS-CBN's movie outfit Star Cinema.

Aside from their respective projects, KC and Richard are again set to shoot a Valentine movie next year under GMA films.

But of course, GMA will have second thoughts with this team-up. Marian Rivera is their no. 1 primetime ratings magnet while Richard Gutierrez is their no. 2. If they will team them up in one tv series, it will be a sure-fire no. 1 hit but the 2nd to 4th position in the ratings game will be put to jeopardy.

Currently, the no. 1 to no. 4 position in Mega Manila ratings are occupied by GMA. From time to time, some ABS-CBN shows were able to penetrate these positions in Mega Manila like The Singing Bee and Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara, but were not able to maintain the ranking. So if GMA will join the two stalwarts in one show, one position in the ranking will be in danger.

Maybe, this is the time for Dingdong Dantes to shine even more. Perhaps, a new show for him but this time, he’s no longer under the shadow of Marian Rivera. And of course, after Dyesebel and Marimar, people are now looking forward for Marian and Dingdong to have a different love team.

I for one would like to see Richard and Marian together in a tv series. Their team up in BFGF was magical! Jologs girl meets rich and spoiled guy. And the characters in Rosalinda is somewhat similar to these kind of roles. Hope GMA will grant the fans’ request.

GMA-7 has bought the rights to televised the local version of Zorro, the fictional Mexican character written by Johnston McCulley in 1919.

According to PEP, Richard Gutierrez was chosen by GMA-7 management to play the lead role and is now attending fencing lessons. This is going to be Richard’s 7th tv series on GMA after Mulawin, Sugo, Captain Barbell, Lupin, Kamandag, and Codename: Asero.

Richard’s leading lady in Asero, Heart Evangelista, was earlier reported to star in the fantaserye Luna Mystica opposite Mark Anthony Fernandez. So the role for Richard’s leading lady in the Philippine version of Zorro is still up for grabs.

Zorro is perhaps best known for the movie of the same name starring Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta Jones. But the very first movie about the Mexican fictional character was “The Mask of Zorro” in 1920.

On television, Walt Disney came up with Zorro the tv series and it ran from 1957 to 1959. And in 2007, it became a “telenovela” courtesy of Sony TV and Telemundo. It’s entitled Zorro: La Espada Y La Rosa starring the Peruvian actor Christian Meier.

Richard Gutierrez and Raymund Gutierrez took time and enjoy their time and vacation in Paris, France with KC Concepcion.

They extended the trip there until Saturday. 5:00 AM Sunday as they arrived in the Philippines.

"KC has been our guide, translator and concierge. Even her Parisian friends are very helpful and nice. One of her close friends here is the cousin of Bubbles and Paolo (Paraiso).

"Yesterday she (KC) took us to her favorite place for breakfast, a cafe called Le Durée. "Also yesterday, while shopping, we bumped into some Filipinos we know from Dublin. What a small world really.

"Today we are fixing our tickets and hotel rooms for extension. We also plan to visit the Louvre museum where The Da Vinci Code was filmed and the museum that houses the mona Lisa. "


Last night was a text to us again by Raymond, "Their are also lots of Pinoy here in Paris. When we went to the bank, the lady who helped us was Pinay. "When we went to the Louvre museum, we also met so many Filipinos, some from Ireland, Davao and Manila. It's heartwarming to browse through Richard Gutierrez's old pictures and to realize how much he has grown before the public's eyes. From a chubby twin to a scrawny teen, nobody expected that he'd be one of the country's hottest matinee idols within the span of four years. It all started with "Mulawin," of course, and Richard recognizes that. He says he will be forever thankful for that winged creature that literally made his career take flight. Text by Jillian Q. A look back

Within four years starting with Mulawin (2004), Richard has portrayed a myriad of characters, both real and imagined. He delved into martial arts in Sugo (2005), saved the world as the much-celebrated Captain Barbell (2006), made the ladies swoon in the Pinoy remake of Lupin (2007), and captivated audiences with his Kamandag (2007).

Now he is a cyborg in Codename: Asero, torn between his allegiance to his family and to the crime-fighting organization called "Advocate."

If his capacity as a character actor has been tried and tested on TV, Richard's big-screen flicks showcase another side of his acting prowess. From "tweetums" roles in Let the Love Begin (2005), complex characters such as Daniel in The Promise (2007) and a successful comedic attempt in My Best Friend's Girlfriend (2008), Richard has proven time and again that he’s not just a pretty boy.

He keeps on pushing his limits by trying something new for every project he does. For Asero, he took his acting skills up a notch by getting involved in the fight choreography of the show.

"I used to like action films when I was a kid, so I would have ideas in my mind. So now, habang ginagawa namin yung mga eksena, bumabalik sa akin yung mga eksenang [napanood ko na]. Ginagamit ko na lang imagination ko," Richard says, explaining where he gets inspiration for his fight choreography.

Doesn't it complicate acting, when you're thinking of too many things at the same time?

"It complements pa; it helps pa," he answers. "You know where the scene is going, and you know your actions, and by that, malalabas mo rin yung acting mo. It's hard physically, pero for me, it helps [to] bring out the character."

Richard makes it a point to explore different techniques in his fight direction. "I always want to make it different every time, so I use any form of action, kahit na hand to hand [combat], minsan may guns, minsan we just use our environment. We have different choices, we don’t limit ourselves."

He shares one dream scene that he would like to fulfill while he's in Asero. "Actually, marami pa, pero isa sa mga simple fights na gusto ko is using a steady camera, and no edit point. So we're still gonna work on that."

He's been lucky that he never suffered major injuries in his action scenes, although minor accidents have occurred once in a while. "[Nagkakaroon ako ng] mga paso, pero nangyayari naman yun, e. Napaso na rin ako, pero minor injuries lang, and it’s part of it."

Another mark

With projects coming in nonstop for the 24-year old, he expresses that he looks forward to a project that will "leave a mark again."

"Kasi for me, Mulawin ang nagsimula ng lahat, then after that, ginawa ko yung mga roles na gusto kong gawin. Ngayon, parang nagampanan ko na halos lahat ng roles na gusto kong gawin, pero mayroon pa namang naiiwan.

"I'm still looking for that one project na talagang malapit sa akin. After my second movie with KC (Concepcion), I wanna do something different and experiment on a new character or new role na hindi pa nakikita ng tao sa akin."

He is referring to his next project under GMA Films tentatively titled When I Met You, and it will be released in time for Valentine's 2009—Richard’s fourth V-day movie streak.

Richard stresses, however, that although he is still searching for the project that will be at par with his Mulawin break, he makes it a point to enjoy everything that's given to him. "Lahat naman ng ginagawa ko, dapat masaya. Pag hindi ka na masaya, wag mo na gawin."

Rumor has it that after Asero, he is set to tape Zorro, although we'll have to wait for the official word on that. In the meantime, he says he is excited for When I met You because it'll be his second team-up with the Megastar’s daughter; their first was Star Cinema's For the First Time. "I don't want to say it's gonna be better, but I think it will be better for the audience, kasi kami ni KC, we're gonna offer something new."

Richard did not have any qualms at all gracing the Run for Peace fun run last September 20, 2008 at the Quirino Grandstand in Pasay City. This just made the meaningful event more significant for the thrust of the government to promote peace in the country.

"We're very thankfu to him," says Undersecretary Danilo Consomido of the Office of External Affairs in Malacañang when Richard accepted their invitation to attend the said event.

Likewise, Gabby Concepcion was also present to give his support, and realized the importance of this worthy cause: "It would be nice to make a difference that's why I am here. Of course it's hard if you only exist. You want to live, right? And I know I have a reason for being here eh. It's nice to spread the word, right?"

Richard was requested to give an inspirational message to the participants and guests during that day, and he was open as to what he wanted for all and what is needed to attain it: "We all dreamt to have peace and unity in our country. Each of us has their own role to achieve this dream as an epitome of youth.

"Time to get up and we coordinate with each Filipino to achieve the peace. As Ghandhi once said: 'Be the difference that you want to see in this world.' And that's what I am doing now. For the development the Philippines and development of Mindanao is our gain. "

In Advocate, our mole reports that things look gloomy. After the excitement of Phoenix’s return to Advocate has died down, things have returned to normal—except, our mole reports, when it comes to the elusive Lady Q.

Lady Q, Rock Star, and Beat Box were the ones who spearheaded the campaign to bring down Empire ringleader Zeus. Zeus remains alive, and Lady Q has taken to isolating herself. Our mole has been hearing that Lady Q might have had relations with Zeus without knowing who he was.

Meanwhile, our agent aside to keep tabs on Emily San Juan has returned to office. The San Juan residence was burned down, he reports, by men from Empire. According to our mole, he tried to follow the San Juan’s to the Aviejo residence, but security is tighter in Mr. Aviejo’s house.

Actors Gabby Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez were both offered a new role—to become the country's ambassadors for peace.


According to TV Patrol World's report aired last night, September 20, Presidential Peace Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr. issued the invitation to the two actors during the ‘Run for Peace' activity, which was part of the nationwide observance of peace month held every September.


Gabby and Richard joined more than 4,000 participants of the 10-kilometer fun run from Quirino Grandstand in Manila to the Cultural Center in Pasay City and back to the grandstand.


Gabby was amenable to the idea of being the country's peace ambassador. Likewise, Richard stated his desire to end the armed conflicts in the country so we can move forward.


The two actors are now in the same league as Robin Padilla and Manny Pacquiao, who were recognized as Ambassadors of Peace during the Global Peace Festival in 2007.

When the carefree playboy Seth (Richard) comes along, she lightens up and learns to enjoy the Aegean sea and the amazing views in Santorini, Greece.


Their story continues in Manila and Pia and Seth discover that falling in love happens only if you are willing to let go of past hurts and open yourself up to the transforming power of love.

Desyebel will end on October 10. And with full radiance and she's very proud to say that theyre always on the top of the rating game.

Marian Rivera said, that she's not yet certain what will be her next project after dyesebel. Speculations said that she will be doing another remake from a Mexican drama Rosalinda drama wherein Dingdong will still be her leading man.

I was not able to go there due to my hectic work schedule here in Manila. But now, we're looking forward to our trip in Vienna together, "beginning with Richard her to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) the inauguration of Flawless Moments in Greenhills, San Juan City, on September 14.

"You know what, I really do hope we could extend our stay there coz there are really a few places that we wanted to visit. But we're going to enjoy the moment that we have in Vienna and we ' re gonna have the most out of it. And we're gonna make sure that the Filipinos will have a good time, and we're gonna have a good time. "

What's the real score between him and now KC?



"Well, now, like what we always say, we too busy with work but we still find time to see each other," says Richard. "We still find time to meet up and talk. But now our schedules are really, really bad, and we do not want to rush things. It's better that we take it step by step. And if any be the final decision that happens , E, you also the first else. What Is the status of their KC? Are they dating exclusively, or a mutual understanding that?

KC Concepcion returned from the premiere nights of “For the First Time” in the U.S. last Saturday. And you know the first thing she did? She had dinner with Richard Gutierrez at Bonifacio High Street in The Fort. Those who saw them say it’s apparent that they missed each other so much, which is not surprising since they’ve been together constantly for the past several weeks.

Next Thursday, September 25, they will have another chance to travel together for the premiere of their movie in Vienna, Austria. They will be traveling around Europe for a week before returning to Manila. They’re scheduled to start shooting their Valentine movie with GMA FIlms by the end of November, to be written and directed by Joey Reyes who’s also shooting “Magkaibigan” and “One Night Only” for the Metro Manila Filmfest. There are talks that they would also shoot their second movie partly abroad.

So, which famous city abroad will be their choice? Is it true they’ll shoot it in Paris where KC studied for four years? “Sa akin, kahit saan pa i-shoot ‘yan, okay lang,” says Richard. “The more important thing is that KC and I will be together again.”

Richard Gutierrez is scheduled to go to Vienna, Austria on the third week of September with KC Concepcion to attend the premiere night of their first movie together, For the First Time, which is already on its third week here in the country.



Although they're already finished doing their first movie together, Richard says that he and KC are still in constant communication.



"We communicate just like any other normal person with friends, we communicate. Nagko-Almost everyday we communicate," said the 24-year-old actor during the inauguration of Flawless Moments in Greenhills, San Juan City on September 14.



The Codename: Asero star said being updated with each other is still very important since they will do a movie with GMA Films. "Now, there we work in progress as being 'yong script, being' yong location. We always communicate about our next movie and our trip to Vienna," said Richard.



Talking about their second movie, do they feel any pressure in surpassing the success of their first movie For the First Time with Star Cinema?



Richard replied, "Well, I think, that's the main idea in doing that[the movie] in Star [Cinema] and the GMA Films is to not have a rivalry or to compare one another. I think , GMA Films will go on a different direction there for the movie does not really compare him to. And with its own stand 'yong the Star Cinema and its own stand' yong on GMA Films. But both films, will be given much effort and attention to. "



NO PERSONAL issues with Dingdong. During the interview, Startalk reporter Gorgy Rula told that Richard-Dingdong Dantes who is constantly being pitted against him-watched For the First Time. Upon hearing this, Richard recalled that his director in the movie, Bb. Joyce Bernal, mentioned that she would tell Dingdong to watch the film. Joyce is Dingdong's director in Dyesebel.



"Well, first watched teh movie, after the premiere night, Direk Joyce said that he should ask Dingdong and Marian [Rivera] to watch their movie. I want to thank him also for watching. He actually texted me and he said that he liked 'yong movie, so I'm thankful, "Richard related.



This just shows that Richard and Dingdong really do not have personal issues with each other. In fact, Richard he assured the media, "Dingdong and I were okey, no problem in turn one another. course 'rivalry that's been created by the media, those were just rumors. I’m truly happy for the success of KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez’s movie, For the First Time. I know the two worked extremely hard to do a movie that they can be proud of and one that people would actually watch. There were many factors, not their doing but proved to be intense pressure points for the two; it was almost impossible for the two to star in a movie project together as both belong to two fiercely competitive networks. But it happened, so it could not not work. A mild hit would be a flop, after all it was a dream tandem.

This was KC’s first movie. She is the Megastar daughter. Upon conception she was a certified star. How could the movie not be a huge hit?

Richard is one of the country’s hottest young leading men. He has had a string of hits to his name. How can the movie not break records?

It was scary considering that they were following a huge box-office hit in A Very Special Love, a feel-good movie starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo. They had to outgross A Very Special Love.

The pressure was horrible. Both KC and Richard were nervous, even anxious. Nobody knew what was going to happen. Expectations were insanely high. How can royalties fail? And failure here was anything less than a gigantic hit. Star Cinema did everything it could to produce a movie worth watching and promoted the movie like there was no other.



For the First Time has on its team Bb. Joyce Bernal, a certified hitmaker, brilliant DOP Shayne Sarte, a formidable creative and production staff and actors that lent support to KC and Richard.

The premiere night had the first indication that this was a huge box-office hit. The Megastar herself was proud of her daughter’s work. The good Sen. Francis Pangilinan was happy with the movie. Fans were at Megamall Cinema 9 and 10 as early as 2 p.m. There was a mob at the premiere night of For the First Time. But skeptics still said that it was a premiere night so naturally there was a sea of people, curious to see KC, Richard and all the other stars. Would this translate to box-office success? Of course there were no clear answers yet.

Most people who had anything to do with the movie were still nervous. Anything could still happen. What if a big storm hits Manila? Or even a coup d’etat? What if people turn out to be uninterested? The night of the 28th of August until theaters opened on the 29th must have been one of the longest nights in Richard and KC’s life.

I saw the Megastar invite everyone to support her daughter’s movie. I started to get text messages from Annabelle Rama and Ruffa Gutierrez reminding friends that the movie was opening on the 29th. KC and Richard got the unequivocal support of their families and friends.

In the afternoon of Aug. 29, I called Roxy Liquigan, promo director of Star Cinema and supervising producer of The Buzz without letting Roxy realize my jitters. I casually asked how the movie was doing in the first few hours of its first day. “It’s a huge, huge hit!” Roxy declared. “Thank you,” I muttered — catching my breath — as if I were KC.

HEARD that Heart Evangelista could hardly believe she did the sizzling kissing scenes in “Codename: Asero” with the new Golden Boy of Philippine movies, Richard Gutierrez.

What’s good about having paired with Richard, his leading ladies never feel uncomfortable. He is never branded as a bold actor as he looks gentle, maybe even if he takes off his clothes.

Meanwhile, people are now looking forward to the next Richard-KC Concepcion starrer which will happen this time under GMA Films. Their “For The First Time” under Star Cinema is a certified hit, chalking up more than P100 million in just 3 weeks of showing.

Since they’re now very much comfortable with each other, fans are expecting to see more daring scenes in their next outing together. Maybe, more torrid than what Richard did with Heart in “Codename: Asero.”

After the recent success of his movie with KC Concepcion, For the First Time, Richard Gutierrez heard another good news from the entertainment press during the press launch of his newest endorsement, emperor, last Tuesday, September 9, and Annabel's restaurant on Tomas Morato Avenue in Singapore.
