Kamandag Buzz

Maxene leads off by saying “Sobrang saya [sa Kamandag]! Kasi powerhouse cast, pero walang may ere, just like DaddyDiDoDu. Si Vic Sotto, kahit Vic Sotto na yan, when we were taping na, sobrang bait.”

But she isn't done praising her castmates. “Everyone’s [nice] here in Kamandag also, especially Richard (Gutierrez)! He’s very maalaga. And ang gusto ko sa kanya, he’s very passionate about his work. Siya pa yung nagsasabi kung ano yung maganda, ano yung okay. That’s what I admire about him. Kasi may mga artista na pumupunta lang sa set para lang masabing nakapagtrabaho, para lang may attendance, para lang kumita. Si Richard, hindi, he really likes what he’s doing. And that’s what I admire about him. As much as he admires me for still going to school, yun naman ang ina-admire ko sa kanya.”

Maxene says that she’s pretty close with the two other leading ladies, Ehra Madrigal and Jewel Mische, and she also gets along well with the staff and crew members.

She also spills that she was quite “star struck” when she saw Ms. Eula Valdez. “Grabe 'yung kamandag niya, up to now, ganyan pa rin siya ka-sexy! Ganyan pa siya kaganda! At saka wala siyang kaere-ere. Lagi lang siyang pabiro, simple lang, down-to-earth. Very proud ako na nakasama namin siya sa Kamandag.”

She adds Ms. Jean Garcia of La Vendetta to her list of favorites. “And of course, [there’s] Mr. Johnny Delgado! [At] ang pinakanatuwa talaga ako, si Brandon Vera. Wala siyang star complex at all! Sikat na siya as UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) champion, pero siya talaga wala[ng ere]! Sobrang funny! Pinoy na pinoy!”

"Hot si Richard!”

During a Sis interview, Maxene was asked if Richard could possibly be her boyfriend. A very game Maxene answered, “I’m not gonna deny, syempre, hot si Richard! Makamandag talaga siya! So if ever mayroon, ayoko, kasi professional ako, e! Crush-crush na lang [muna!].”

But the question that matters most at this point is if Maxene and Richard have onscreen chemistry. Do they?

She shares, “Ang dami ng leading ladies e. So hindi natin alam kung kanino talaga mapupunta [yung character ni Richard]. So noong nagkaroon kami ng first scene together, lahat sila natuwa, dahil nakita nila that we click, and that we look good on TV together! So nakakatuwa, sana [nga], may chemistry!”
