Fresh from the success of her TV acting debut via Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) last February 15, KC Concepcion admits that she's excited with the thought of finally appearing in a movie—provided that the project is good and worth doing.

"It was really fulfilling," said KC, talking about the entire MMK experience. The press cornered KC earlier today, February 28, at the Mega Trade Hall 1 of the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City at the launching of Sony's Cyber-Shot Camera, which KC herself is endorsing.

Just like what she did before accepting MMK's offer, KC and the people behind her career are meticulously leafing through and examining all the necessary details of the film projects being tendered.

"Iba-iba po talaga ‘yong mga factors na kinu-consider namin, and we're just looking for the best," said KC. Taking a brief pause, she went on to add: "Because there's only one first, so we're looking for the best na maibibigay sa mga naghihintay, sa audience, kasi priority naman po talaga namin ‘yong audience."

When it comes to guidance, especially in dealing with the ropes of show business, KC need not to look somewhere else.

"She always reminds me na kung may isang taong kailangan kong hingan ng advice, siya ‘yon," confided KC, pertaining to her mom, Sharon Cuneta.

She continued, "Because dito na siya lumaki. Dito na siya nagka-boyfriend, nagka-asawa, nagka-anak... lahat ng first niya. So, I think she's very supportive and very excited on things to come.

SOUVENIRS AND RICHARD. Being an avid fan of photography, KC happily enthused how delighted she was when asked by Sony to endorse its latest state-of-the art camera.

And since she's fond of snapping pictures of close friends and loved ones, many can't help but inquire if she has a photo of young actor Richard Gutierrez saved in her trusted camera.

"Wala na po sa camera, trinansfer ko na," she chided to the amusement of the reporters.

Kidding aside, KC continued, "Marami po kami rito sa camera na ‘to. It's not just one person and hindi naman po normal kung wala akong pictures ng mga kaibigan ko."

Ever since her reported breakup with director Lino Cayetano, KC was instantly linked to the dashing Kamandag lead star. For those who are curious about the real state of her relationship with Richard, KC insists that everything is still pretty much on the platonic level.

"Magkaibigan po ‘yong families namin. Si Tita Annabelle [Rama, Richard's mom], nakikita ko po ‘yan all the time sa bahay ni Tita Helen [Gamboa-Sotto]," she said.

FLOWER FESTIVAL. Last February 14, KC personally wrote a sweet letter to her mom, asking the Megastar to be her date for the special occasion.

"Sinulatan ko ng card, Valentine card, ‘yong mom ko na kung puwedeng siya ‘yong maging Valentine ko for Valentine's day," she revealed.

It was a complete reversal of role according to the pretty endorser. "Because noong bata ako, single pa siya, ako lagi ang sinusulatan niya ng Happy Valentine's so na-miss ko ‘yon," said KC.

The day turned out to be even more special for both mother and daughter. KC confessed that prior to Valentine's day, she and her mom were not going along fine like they used to.

"Actually, naiyak nga ako," KC wistfully recalled. "Nakahawak ako sa binti niya dahil parang may love quarrel kami 'tapos nagkabati kami on Valentine's day. So all night kaming magkasama having dinner and I gave her flowers. I gave her tulips."

Not to be left behind, KC also received a handful of flowers that day. And one of those came from, who else, but Richard Gutierrez.

"I'm thankful to those na hindi ako nakalimutan," she smiled, obviously trying to downplay Richard's sweet gesture. "So, kung meron man akong flowers na natanggap kay Richard, I thank him for that. And I also thank the others that remembered me, to be fair, in fairness meron naman ding nakaalala sa akin."

Fortunately, and despite having to compete with a number of flower senders, the one sent by Richard managed to catch KC's warm approval.

"In fairness nung Valentine's, favorite flowers ko ‘yong pinadala niya, ha," gushed KC.

And what did she receive from ex-beau Lino Cayetano?

"Text," KC replied briefly.

Pressed on her opinion on the news that Lino gave TV host Bianca Gonzales a bunch of flowers, KC jokingly retorted: "Alam ba ni Bianca na may text akong nakuha from Lino?"

Turning serious this time, KC defended Lino and his intentions by saying, "Mabait naman si Lino, so I'm sure, you know, mabait siya sa mga loved ones niya."
